SeaNova – between the hammer and the anvil

getting back at it.

I’ve been conflicted about what to do with the boat. I didn’t know how to manage the control cables from the motor control or the steering cable. I didn’t know how to handle the wiring to the speakers (nor much of anything else about stereos). I didn’t know how to manage the electrical wiring or its piping. I didn’t like the paint I’d used in the interior – robust deck paint that just didn’t bite into the epoxy surface everywhere. All of this had me stymied into inaction. So I made a big decision and acted.
I decided to get rid of the complexities; no stereo & no flotation boxes. So I ripped out the boxes I’d built under the carlings on each side.

I then moved all the parts into the spare bedroom, sanded the unpainted and painted surfaces I found, and then I painted the interior w/ bilge paint designed for epoxy surfaces.

Once I touch up the thin spots I’m going to start working on the top decking and I’ll allow the wiring to wait until a simpler idea comes to mind…
